Yesterday we spent a day with Richard of 'Boeren in het Bos', to talk about our plans with our pigs, chickens and ducks.
It was very informative, but also great to see their Tamworth pigs roam freely around the forest, totally ignoring the cows ....
A clear message from Richard; don't put too much time and effort in the beginning on (permanent) structures and fencing and observe the 1st year what works best for the pigs; only then start to build more permanent fences.
Also interesting to see that his boar, sows and piglets are in a 1ha forest behind just a single electric fence ....
